TEAM WILDWOOD POLICE UNITY TOUR

WILDWOOD POLICE DEPARTMENT

What started as a tribute to honor the sacrifices of Police Officers who have fallen in the line of duty with a handful of people on a four day fundraising trip has turned into an annual event with nine chapters and several thousand participants in a little more than a decade. In 2019, the bicycle ride left Florham Park, New Jersey on May 9th and arrived at the National Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial and Museum in Washington, D.C on May 12th.

The primary purpose of the Police Unity Tour is to raise awareness of Law Enforcement Officers who have died in the line of duty. The secondary purpose is to raise funds for the National Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial and Museum in Washington, D.C. The third purpose is to throw a party to raise funds. Mudhen Brewing Company helped out with the third purpose on April 4, 2019. Mudhen Brewing Company donated a portion of sales from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM to Team Wildwood’s group of riders who consisted of a number of active law enforcement officials.
